NEW YORK – Today, Verizon Media announced an expansion of new and state of the art studios for its global portfolio of premium brands including Yahoo, HuffPost, TechCrunch and AOL, in Los Angeles, New York, Sunnyvale, London, Paris, Brazil, Singapore and Australia, with existing studios in Canada, Taiwan and Hong Kong. The expansion drives Verizon Media’s continued investment in video and the future of innovating content.
In Los Angeles, Verizon Media is opening the first 5G production studio in the country with RYOT, its Emmy Award®-winning content studio and innovation lab. Equipped with top-of-the-line mixed reality and motion capture capabilities that will revolutionize Hollywood’s film and television industry, Verizon Media’s 5G studio will build more engaging experiences for its consumers and advertisers, and serve as a partner to other content creators to experiment on the future of content production and immersive entertainment. At the Verizon Media NewFront on April 30, audiences will be introduced to the power of 5G through a special presentation of “Hypezilla” - a new, multi-faceted, motion capture and AR-enabled shoppable content series for Verizon Media’s newest gaming and entertainment app Yahoo Play.

Verizon Media opened a brand new, 360-degree, 4k-capable studio in New York City this April that is home to Verizon’s ecosystem of brands including the world’s top business and finance news platform Yahoo Finance, which streams eight hours of weekday live programming from New York, with additional studios in London and Canada. Digital entertainment talk show BUILD Series livestreams more than six hours each weekday from studios in New York, London and Australia, welcoming top celebrities and influencers from around the world. Yahoo Sports produces original shows like “Fantasy Football Live” and “The Rush,” with locations in Los Angeles, Sunnyvale, New York and Canada and has a new, AR-enabled studio in Paris, while Yahoo News continues to break global headlines and leads the top-rated news podcast “Skullduggery.” Additionally, Verizon Media studios in Brazil are a hub for content and editorial teams to create engaging videos across Yahoo Brazil and HuffPost Brazil in-market, while studios across Asia in Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan power a deep focus on regional content with a local flavor through Yahoo TV, a popular destination in the region.
