Highlights from RIO2C 2022

The 2022 edition of Rio2C was a success. Yahoo engaged in conversations and debates on diverse subjects such as opportunities in digital advertising, responsibility of brands as influencers, expansion of voices in journalistic coverage and increasing diversity in the market.

The 2022 edition of Rio2C was a success. In three days of participation in the event, our leaders engaged in conversations and debates on diverse subjects such as opportunities in digital advertising, responsibility of brands as influencers, expansion of voices in journalistic coverage and increasing diversity in the market.

Our Head of Sales, Daniela Galego, participated in the M&M Summit highlight, “Streaming and Opportunity for Brands”, in which she pointed out the increase in the consumption of video content on different devices. “Streaming, because it is immersive and has content in which the person chose to be there, has a force, it is much more intense, and then brands are able to establish deeper conversations”, observed Daniela regarding the great opportunity for digital advertising. .

Guilherme Assumpção was on the panel “The role of brands in fragmented markets” and discussed the risks and responsibilities of brands acquiring the role of influencers. “In a highly complex privacy landscape, people and brands are required to be curious. We cannot be paralyzed. We are all learning together.”

In the panel “Diversity as a premise,” moderated by Mayra Attuy, our Marketing Director for Latam & Canada, there was a debate on initiatives for an increasingly inclusive work environment. Leonardo Sacco, Editor of Yahoo Notícias, led the panel “How to expand the lens of journalistic coverage?,” in which the need for multiple voices in the current production of journalistic content was addressed.

Finally, our Life and Style Editor, Amanda Serra, moderated the panel “Childhood, mental health & the environment”, in a conversation about the importance of emotional well-being for success.

In the first major face-to-face event in which our team participated since the beginning of the pandemic, our leaders were able to exchange experiences, baggage, promote conversations and discussions that added value and knowledge. We thank everyone who attended the panels and Rio2C for the opportunity.
